When I first stepped out on my own, I didn’t have a marketing team. There was no media budget, no fancy tools, and definitely no roadmap. All I had was a laptop, a quiet sense of urgency, and a few stories I wasn’t even sure people would care about. But I knew I had to do something. So I started building my audience online.

There wasn’t a master plan. I just decided to show up. I shared thoughts from my journey, insights from my experiences, and lessons that felt worth passing on. The first few posts didn’t get much traction, a handful of likes, maybe one or two comments. But over time, people started paying attention. Not because the content was flawless, but because it was honest. And in a world full of noise, honesty stands out.

I didn’t have ad spend to boost my reach. What I did have was perspective and a deep understanding of how people connect to stories. I kept going, one post at a time, building momentum slowly. It wasn’t flashy, and it definitely wasn’t overnight. But it worked.

Today, I’ve built an audience of over 435,000 followers across platforms (May 2025). Not because I cracked some secret formula, but because I stayed consistent. I focused on adding value. I built trust, and in turn, the audience grew.
